Booking tickets for events in Sri Lanka starts with comparing what a ticket includes. The lowest advertised price can belong to a child category, a balcony seat or a different performance. Before paying for a concert or theatre outing in Colombo, Kandy or another city, match the date, venue and admission category to your plans.
Read the category, not only the starting price The TicketsMinistry listing for RATA BAILA at Surapura Open Theatre, Anuradhapura, on 23 October 2026 illustrates the difference. Checked on 18 October, it lists a child ticket at LKR 300, Silver at LKR 500, Gold at LKR 1,000 and VIP at LKR 2,000. Calling this simply a LKR 300 adult outing would misrepresent the available categories. Ask the seller about child eligibility if the age rule is not shown. For a different seating example, MIND YOUR MUSIC 2026 at Lionel Wendt in Colombo on 29 October lists Balcony, Silver and Gold categories. A category name does not tell you the exact sightline or whether your group can sit together. Read the seating information and available selection before completing your purchase. Confirm the performance you are buying Check the full event name, date and year, starting time and exact venue on the booking page. A touring play may have separate city dates, and two performances on one day can have separate ticket inventories. Save your confirmation and check that the details match the performance you intended to attend. Follow the seller's delivery and entry instructions. Know who handles the enquiry A ticketing support number is different from an organiser's programme contact. TicketsMinistry publishes +94 77 737 1672 for ticketing support. Use the seller for payment or ticket-delivery questions, and the organiser or venue for access questions that the seller cannot answer. Do not assume a listing website itself can change a booking.
