Planning events in Sri Lanka is easier when you start with a date, a city and the kind of experience you want. The coming months include seated concerts, festive meals, a road race, gem exhibitions and cultural processions. This guide gives you a starting route through the calendar, rather than treating every listing as the same kind of outing.
October and November: choose your concert setting For an orchestral evening, Remembering Rohan De Saram on 23 October is at Lionel Wendt Theatre in Colombo. The published start is 7:30 PM. Later options include DADDY 2FORTY2 on 6 November and The Albums Night on 13 November, both at the A/C Marquee, Taj Samudra Colombo. Compare the seating category and ticket inclusions before buying; a table package is different from an individual seat. December: music, running and festive dining December is not limited to Christmas parties. Kandy Half Marathon on 6 December offers several distances, while JEWELS 2026 on 4–6 December focuses on gems and jewellery at Colombo Lotus Tower. For a relaxed seasonal outing, Amari Colombo’s festive high tea on 19 December provides a different format from a late concert. January to March: look beyond the year-end season FACETS Sri Lanka on 4–6 January 2027 brings another gem-industry event to Colombo. February includes Gangaramaya Nawam Maha Perahera on 19–20 February and Soul Lanka Festival Weekend on 27–28 February in Weligama. The Soul Lanka partner programme continues with an afterglow gathering on 5 March; separate partner tickets should not be assumed to be included in a weekend pass. Make a shortlist you can actually attend Use the Sri Lanka event listings to compare dates and venues, then open the full page for the source and enquiry contact. Check finishing times, transport and admission rules before combining two events. An advertised resort programme can require a reservation or guest status, and an unpublished price does not mean free entry.
